I moved back to Grinnell last week. I started working in the AV center in ARH, where I could put headphones on and listen to Mew without bothering anyone. But I also work in my apartment, and now I have space in Bucksbaum!

I read about Annette Messager on Lee's suggestion, and discovered a comparison between her work and that of Lewis Carroll's. So I started reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. She played croquet with a flamingo!

I brought this guy to lunch one day.

Mostly I think it bewildered my lunch mates. But I guess you could ask them how they felt, if you happen to see them around.

I visited your page here, only to see that no one had commented. So I wrote an excellent comment, went to post it, realized I had to be a member to do said action, and in joining lost one of my best writings to the infinite digital space we call the web. I am furious. So any way, here I shall try it again, hopefully with the same eloquence and charisma.

Kirsten!! Those of us who scoffed at you when we heard your job description are now choking on our own spit. The many who smirked at the prospect of an artist creating stuffed animals for a job are quickly pulling their facial muscles into a look of awe. We who plagued your mind with doubt are now dealing with our own insolence. While I'm not as poetic as, say, Robert Frost, I hope they fulfill their duty in showing my pride of you.
